Jewpop met en marche son « Jewkbox », qui vous fera découvrir régulièrement des chansons et musiques souvent rares, avec de vrais morceaux de « Jew » dedans ! Après notre hommage à France Gall avec une surprenante reprise en hébreu de Poupée de cire, poupée de son par The Yarkon Trio, voici Walk on the Wild Side de Lou Reed chanté en hébreu par Micha Ben Ami.
Ben Ami adapta en hébreu le texte original sous le titre Ma Sheba Sababa (que l’on pourrait traduire en français par « Tout ce qui vient est cool »). Parmi les musiciens qui jouent sur cette étonnante version, Alon Olearchik, l’un des membres du plus célèbre groupe pop israélien, Poogy. Ce single rarissime, jamais réédité sur CD, se négocie sur Internet 130€.
Un fan israélien a traduit le texte hébreu en anglais :
